"Limited Edition" for my prints means the following: I will print and sell exactly 100 images in the sizes 24x30 and larger. During that time period, the image is available in all sizes, and is sold in an open edition in smaller sizes. When an edition of an image is sold out, it will no longer be printed again in any size, even as an artist's proof. Prints are available in two primary styles: Photobase prints, printed on photography paper or velvet-like stock, or gallery-wrapped canvas prints. Photobase prints are suitable for mounting and framing traditionally. Canvas prints present the images differently, do not require expensive framing and glass, and have superior archival qualities for long-term display. Because of our subjects and the unique dimensions of our photography, we highly recommend the gallery-wrapped printing option for the majority of our prints. All of our canvas prints are "gallery wrapped" which refers to the way the canvas is stretched over a high quality wooden frame. The image "wraps" around the side of the frame and is stapled onto the back. This gives the pictures a three-dimensional finished look and allows you to hang your piece without a frame, identical to the practices of high-end art galleries. |
